It was Monday again, the endless loop of start of the weeks. Jasher stood before the mirror, brushing his right hand fingers over his left shoulder as though he were dusting it. Hair was brushed, collar adjusted. He cracked his back and headed out his room, went through the space between his room and the kitchen, and escaped out the kitchen’s trap door that swung shut.
In a matter of minutes he was seated at the bus stop, not in the mood for the mad rush that happened every morning. Jasher was lax, as though nothing was a stake. He pulled out his phone, glanced at the cracked screen protector with its irregular edges and plugged in his headphones. his finger swiped up on the screen and then he thumbed the middle of it.
The music blasted in his ears and spilled out so that people around him could faintly recognise the beat. An old man seated quite close by stared at him judgingly. He tapped Jasher. As Jaher turned to attend to this man, the trotro to his destination arrived. Jasher ignored the old man and scrambled away in a frenzy. There was a pool of heads to swim through to get to the sliding door that hang open and loosely.
People pulled and tugged at each other, Jasher had bodies and stench to avoid. He brushed and breezed through the sweaty salty crowd and just when he was sure he was in… Thump! his head against the top of the doorway.
He stumbled dizzily to the available seat, annoyed.
The commute was boring as usual. Same old stores, trees, large billboards, traffic lights, familiar-faced hawkers, traffic wardens, smell in the air. The life was beginning to feel a bit too repetitive. Jasher wanted to leave the country, to go and touch and lie in new and greener pastures of grass…

Beautiful piece and I love the end "Jasher wanted to leave the country, to go and touch and lie in new and greener pastures of grass…" there's always a light somewhere for Jasher and for us! Have a wonderful day and let's read each other if you like!
So vivid! I could see and hear and smell the scenes
